Lê Châu Nam
This young gun plays folk music in the distinctive tradition of mid-century Greenwich Village, but in his mother tongue. His songs, some written and some translated, cover urbanization, acculturation, the self-torment of youth, and the myriad angles of personal relationships. In his current song cycle, he finds himself drifting from his traditional roots into the unknown of post-modernity, perhaps with some help from the people around.
