An Aftermoon Party @ Saigon Outcast

Saigon Outcast is a relatively new party/events/art space in District 2.  Constructed mostly with recycled materials, this is an apt location to melt away a humid afternoon with a cold beverage.  Decorated with an affectionate nod to our younger years (a half-pipe, BBQ pits, etc) one can only hope for a bright future.  Let's hope the brutish local authorities keep their distance and don't overreach in their petty extortion schemes.

Introducing Prince Xuan Hy... the newest addition to our lovely Saigon crew.

Exultant family!

We were treated to a technicolor sunset while Matt Bender captured the audience with his quirky songwriting and distinctive brand of joyously reckless indie rock via his Sunless project.

As the sky darkened, the heavy dub riddims of the Echo Monkeys kept punch-drunk feet stepping through the loose gravel.  Another fantastic project from our favorite purveyors of world sounds.

Then the DJ's came and we carried on and all was lost to the night...

Thanks to HCMC Life for capturing us at our very BEST! Beauty and the Beast have a night out.
