East Mebon is out of the jungle, blisteringly hot, and is the counterpart to Pre Rup. According to our kind, knowledgeable driver, massive funeral parties would begin in this primitive, pyramidal complex (dating from the 10th century) and finish off at Pre Rup, where the bodies would be cremated.
